March 2025 Trailer!

Feb 28, 2025
Veiled Sisterhood - Artisan Guild Set of March 2025

Hello dear Collectors, Adventurers, and Merchants! I invite you to turn the audio on and click play on the video above. The Sisterhood is arriving in great style!
Ani made an excellent video this month, and I can't wait for you to see it!

From Idea to Sketches

Every Artisan Guild set begins as a spark of inspiration, and the Veiled Sisterhood was no exception.

When I was a kid, I used to play some old-school rpg in my father's pc.
I loved the dark atmosphere of those games, expecially because back in that era, low resolution models like the ones in diablo where like characters in a book: they communicate a lot, but there was still LOT of room to imagine their faces, armor details, expressions and attitude. Perhaps that's why I love so much old school rpg such the original Diablo and Baldur's Gate.
Back in the days, I was really fascinated by Diablo II all-women rogue encampment (in the italian translation, they were called "the rangers").

Inspired by that idea, I wanted to explore this theme by creating some sketches based on the feeling that group of rogue left inside me when I was a kid. I wanted to create a faction that blended stealth, honor, and battle mastery, while still tying into the world of Anphitria, the legendary city-state in Mundus, our original universe.

Before touching ZBrush, I always start with pen and paper. Rough concepts help me define the attitude, armor style, and weapon choices of each miniature. The Sisterhood Rogues needed to look graceful yet powerful, with a blend of historical and fantasy inspired armor. These where the first of many rough sketches.

From 2D to 3D – Bringing the Sisterhood to Life

Once the concept felt right, I moved into ZBrush, refining each warrior’s stance and details. Creating modular poses is a challenge—I want each Sisterhood Rogue to feel unique while ensuring all weapons remain interchangeable.

Panther Riders – The Perfect Stealth Cavalry

Choosing the right cavalry for the Veiled Sisterhood was a crucial decision. After much discussion, I settled on Pantheras—powerful, agile beasts that mirror the Sisterhood’s own tactics. Sculpting these creatures was a unique challenge, balancing feline elegance with raw ferocity.
I'm so glad that back when I started sculpting for 3d printing I decided to make modular mounts with a seamless saddle system that is compatible with practically all our riders. That means you can use these panthers with or without armored saddle with the Sisterhood models, with past models, or even future ones! Or even better, you can use the sister raiders on other mounts we made in the past, if you prefer them to raid wyverns, dragons, horses, zeeks (giant arthropods from Aera), or even sharks!

The Devouring Hydra – A Monstrous Epic Boss

The Epic Boss of the set, The Devouring Hydra, was the most demanding part of this project. A true force of nature, this creature took ages to sculpt, from concept to final sculpt. I wanted its many heads to create a "killer composition" for the render shot, but still look amazing 360° on the tabletop, making it feel like a creature of legend, feared by all who dwell near the Veilwood.

A Difficult Month, but a Commitment to Excellence

This month has been particularly emotionally challenging for me and my family. We suffered the loss of my beloved grandmother, and both my father, Renato, and I have gone through a very difficult time. Despite this, we remain committed to delivering our best work as always. My father, who you know as the professionist who meticulously creates the supports for all our 3D-printable STLs, has been by my side through this tough period, ensuring that this set meets the high standards we always strive for.

The Final Set – A Collection of Fierce Warriors

After weeks of drawing, sculpting, refining, and ensuring each piece fit together perfectly, the Veiled Sisterhood set was ready. This project has been an incredible journey, and I hope you love printing, painting, and playing with these miniatures as much as I loved creating them.

Printed and painted by Dave! Don't you think he made an excellent job this month with them?

Thank you for your continued support!
Seeing your painted models and battlefield stories brings me endless joy. As always, happy printing!
